How to make baby shower word search games

Word-searches are popular for various reasons, but here are two good ones: You don't have to be a good speller to play AND they're lots of fun!

This how-to guide explains how to make a baby-shower word-search puzzle in just a few easy steps.  You can even include special words geared to the baby's name or the special theme of the shower itself. Let the word games begin!

Instructions
Step 1
Plan with a theme in mind ...

In choosing words for your puzzle, consider the theme of the shower.  Is the mother expecting a boy and the shower decorations are blue and yellow with a puppy dog theme? Perhaps it's a baby girl, instead, and pink and green are used with a theme of ballerinas. Considering the theme gives you ideas for words to include in your puzzle.

Step 2
Make a list of words ...

Words like "bibs, diapers, rattle, crib, formula" are pretty common for baby shower puzzles.  Why not include a few special words, like names of the Mom, Dad, and siblings, the new baby's name and the birth month.  You can also use words that fit the theme of the nursery decor -- fairies, firetrucks, frogs, puppies and princesses!

Step 3
Design your puzzle ...

Click one of the links below Step 4 and design your word-search quicker than a new baby's blink!  Once on the site, you'll decide on a title for your puzzle (Welcome Baby Zoe, etc.) the size of your puzzle (number of lettlers per row), whether or not key words will overlap in the search, and how you want to print out the puzzle.

Step 4
Printing the puzzle ...

Print out a sample copy first, on plain paper, and work it yourself to  make sure everything is correct.  Once you proof it, choose a colorful paper that matches the shower theme, if possible.  Always print a few extra copies, and be sure to save one for the baby-shower scrapbook.
